The purpose of the present study was to examine the clinical effects of 4 treatment methods of infrabony pockets.
@ES The treatment methods tested were:
@EN 1) Implantaton of Interpor-200, 2) Insertion of Gelfoam, 3) Use of Gore-Tex Periodontal Material, 4) Root demineralization with citric acid. Tooth mobility, gingival recession, probing pocket depth and probing attachment level were recorded
before
treatment, 6 months after treatment and 1 year after treatment.
@ES The results were as follows:
@EN 1) All ehthods tested were effective in pocket reduction and clinical attachment gain.
2) Six months after treatment, the probing depth of citric acid group was significantly reduced, but one year after treatment, significantly increased compared to six-moth value.
3) Six months after treatment, the gingival recession of Gore-Tex group was significantly increased, but one year after treatment, restored to the pre-treatment level.
